PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection device that improves luminous efficiency while preventing fluorescent materials in colors other than red from being affected by heat of a red fluorescent material.SOLUTION: A projection device 10 includes an excitation light source 21 that emits excitation light LB, and a light source device 20 having a first fluorescent plate 32 and a second fluorescent plate 33 that are irradiated with the excitation light LB. The first fluorescent plate 32 is rotatably controlled and has a first fluorescent material 321 formed thereon, which is irradiated with the excitation light LB. The second fluorescent plate 33 has a second fluorescent material 331 formed thereon, which is irradiated with the excitation light LB to emit fluorescent light having a wavelength different from that of the first fluorescent material 321. With this configuration, the second fluorescent plate 33 can be prevented from being affected by heat of the first fluorescent plate 32 generated by the first fluorescent material 321 being irradiated with the excitation light LB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
