PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder which can express excellent binding power for glass fiber and powdery glass.SOLUTION: A binder comprises (i) a polymer having a hydroxy group, and (ii) a nonionic polyhydric alcohol, the polymer comprising a structural unit derived from a monomer represented by general formula (1), and a structural unit derived from an unsaturated carboxylic acid-based monomer.
