PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of enhancing on-ice performance, low fuel consumption performance and abrasion resistance in a good balance, and a studless tire having a tread formed therewith.SOLUTION: There are provided a rubber composition containing a rubber component containing natural rubber and modified butadiene rubber having an alkoxysilyl group, and silica as a filler, and obtained by using the modified butadiene rubber as a master batch with the silica, where cis 1,4-bond percentage content of the modified butadiene rubber is 97% or more, the total content of the natural rubber and the modified butadiene rubber in the rubber component is 30 to 100 mass%, the content of the silica is 15 to 80 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, the content of the silica in the filler is 50 mass% or more, and a studless tire having a tread formed with the rubber composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
