PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device capable of increasing user-friendliness without increasing the area of a character input keyboard.SOLUTION: A character input device has various kinds of push keys 2 which are disposed on a keyboard for inputting characters. The push keys 2 includes first keys K1 as the keys for inputting predetermined characters and second keys K2 as the keys for inputting characters relevant to predetermined characters. The second keys K2 are arranged to have a key top K2a which is smaller in size than that of the first keys K1 and are disposed adjacent to the first keys K1 respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
