PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide detection of a lens shift position of a projection type display device with a simple configuration at low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a projection type display device that includes: a light modulation element that modulates light from a light source; a projection optical system that guides the light modulated by the light modulation element; an external housing; a fixed plate that is fixed to the external housing; and a moving plate that holds the projection optical system to the fixed plate movably within a predetermined range, where the external housing has an opening, and the moving plate has a pointer part that can be visually recognized from the opening within the range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
