The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a driving axis of a moving object, which facilitates to effectively detect an area where a moving object stops during a specific short period of time when estimating the moving object. The apparatus for detecting a driving axis of a moving object comprises: a stationary area detecting unit; a driving axis detecting unit; and a driving axis tracking unit.
