PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin composition which can exhibit a moisturizing effect to the utmost by suitably controlling the moisture content and oil content of a horny layer when applying to the skin, the skin composition having an excellent usability.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a skin composition containing water, a sugar derivative, glycerin, and phospholipid polymer. The sugar derivative is derived from freshwater cyanobacteria Aphanothece sacrum, having an average molecular weight of 2,000,000 or more, and having a sugar chain unit repetition structure in which a sugar structure with a hexose structure and a sugar structure with a pentose structure are linked in a straight chain or branched chain state by α-glycosidic linkage or β-glycosidic linkage. The sugar chain unit contains a sulfated sugar which is lactated as a sugar structure, and in the sugar chain unit, 2.7 or more hydroxyl groups per 100 hydroxyl groups are sulfated, or sulfur elements occupy 1.5% by weight or more of all the elements. The concentration of the sugar derivative is 0.15 mass% or less. The phospholipid polymer is at least one selected from the group consisting of polyquaternium-61, polyquaternium-64, polyquaternium-65, and polyquaternium-51.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
