PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross member for a vehicle body frame which is adapted to vehicle body frames having a variety of widths by one kind of a part, and reduced in cost.SOLUTION: A cross member 1 for a vehicle body frame which is attached between a pair of side rails 2a, 2b arranged in a vehicle width direction at an interval comprises a first member 6a fixed to one side rail 2a, and a second member 6b fixed to the other side rail 2b. The first member 6a and the second member 6b have superimposed parts 10a, 10b which are slidably superimposed on each other in the vehicle width direction, and fixed parts 11a, 11b fixed to the side rails 2a, 2b, respectively, and the superimposed part 10a of the first member 6a and the fixed part 11a, and the superimposed part 10b and the fixed part 11b of the second member 6b are point-symmetric with respect to a vehicle center axis C which extends to a vehicle body fore-and-aft direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
