PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window pane which hardly damages the neighborhood of an upper edge of the window pane, can prevent the window pane from being stained and can prevent a contact part of an upper frame of a door from being damaged, and to provide a manufacturing method of the window pane.SOLUTION: A window pane in which a door of an automobile can be opened and closed and an upper edge is brought into contact with a contact part of an upper frame of the door includes a first area having a prescribed width from the upper edge and a second area adjacent to a lower edge of the first area. Therein, the prescribed width is larger than a width to be brought into contact with the contact part, a water-repellent film is formed on one side surface, on the other side surface, a part of the water-repellent film is formed so as to infiltrate to at least a part of the first area of the other side surface from the one side surface and a functional film is formed on the second area on the other side surface of the window pane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
