PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can reduce a waiting time of a user due to RIP processing to an output job.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a communication portion 112 that receives a print job and a user ID; a memorizing portion 104 that memorizes the received print job and user ID; an image processing portion 108 that generates image data from print data by RIP processing; a sensor portion 116 and a distance recognizing portion 114 that detect a user; and an imaging portion 120 and a face recognizing portion 118 that identify a user ID of a user approaching. If it is detected that the user approaches the image forming device 100 and an un-outputted print job corresponding to the identified user ID exists in the memorizing portion, the image processing portion starts generation of image data. This allows image data required for output processing for a job corresponding to the user to be generated previously if the user approaches the image forming device, thereby allowing a waiting time of the user to be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
