Provided is a curable resin composition which contains quantum dots and enables the simple formation of cured films with excellent fluorescence properties and high reliability. Also, provided are a cured film, a wavelength conversion film, a light emitting device, and a method for forming a light emitting layer. According to the present invention, the curable resin composition contains (A) a polymer having a structural portion represented by chemical formula 1 and (B) quantum dots. A cured film is formed on a substrate (12) by using the curable resin composition. The cured film makes up the wavelength conversion film, and becomes a light emitting layer (13) to form a wavelength conversion substrate (11). The light emitting device (100) is made up of the combination with a light source substrate (18) which comprises a light source (17).
