PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that has a reverse conveyance structure, which is difficult in reverse conveyance and is capable of both-sided recording, the recording apparatus being able to securely record and read a test pattern.SOLUTION: From a position where the trailing end of paper is detected, paper is conveyed by a predetermined amount in a reverse direction to an area that does not require the use of a reverse conveyance structure. Thereafter, the step of conveying paper in a normal direction to a position where a recording head records a new test patch and the step of reversely conveying a test patch, recorded by the recording head, to the position where it is read by a reading device, are alternately repeated without using the reverse conveyance structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
