PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in that, in a linear motor, many highly powerful permanent magnets have to be used, which increases cogging force significantly due to magnetic interference.SOLUTION: A linear motor comprises: a movable element 202 having permanent magnets the poles of which are alternately arranged in the direction of drive; a movable element unit 210 in which at least two or more movable elements 202 are arranged in parallel; and an armature 102 having first magnetic pole teeth 114, 118 and second magnetic pole teeth 116, 120 arranged so as to sandwich the permanent magnets from above and below, also having iron cores 110, 112 in which the first magnetic pole teeth 114, 118 and the second magnetic pole teeth 116, 120 are composed of magnetic bodies forming magnetic flux passages in a plane perpendicular to the direction of drive, and further having at least one coil 104 arranged on the respective magnetic flux passages of the iron cores 110, 112; and a coupling member 130 coupling at least two or more of the movable elements 202. In the linear motor, the permanent magnets of at least two or more of the movable elements 202 are displaced with respect to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
