PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a thin sheet cannot be separated because the distance between the tip of a separation member and the surface of a fixation rotor must be set somewhat widely considering a dimensional error of the separation member, a dimensional error of the fixation rotor, and an installation error of the separation member and the fixation rotor when the tip of the separation member is held separately from the surface of the fixation rotor by the distance which does not adversely influence the separation of a recording material from the surface of the fixation rotor.SOLUTION: A fixation device is designed in such a manner that a fixation member and a pressure member each have a hardness distribution in the longitudinal direction, a part of the fixation rotor having a higher hardness than the average hardness of the fixation rotor and a part of the pressure rotor having a lower hardness than the average hardness of the pressure rotor are engaged with each other, and a part of the fixation rotor having a lower hardness than the average hardness of the fixation rotor and a part of the pressure rotor having a higher hardness than the average hardness of the pressure rotor are engaged with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
