PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively and efficiently treating fly ash containing radioactive materials.SOLUTION: A hydraulic press 3 pressurizes and molds fly ash A containing radioactive materials before a molded article P obtained by pressurization and molding is crushed. Molding pressure applied by the hydraulic press 3 can be set from 0.5 t/cmto 2.5 t/cm. Bulk density of a crushed article Q can be further increased by crushing the molded article P so that 100 mass% of the crushed article Q passes through a 50 mm sieve, 80- 100 mass% thereof passes through a 10 mm sieve, 70-90 mass% thereof passes through a 5 mm sieve, 10-60 mass% thereof passes through a 1 mm sieve, and 10-40 mass% thereof passes through a 0.5 mm sieve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
