PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for individually separating image forming means and transfer means from each other.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus capable of performing printing in a specified color includes: a plurality of image forming means for developing developer images of respective colors; a plurality of driving means provided for each of the image forming means to supply drive to cause the image forming means to develop the developer images; transfer means for contacting the image forming means to transfer the developed developer images to a medium; and separation means having a pair of separation members that separates the transfer means and the image forming means not related to the specified color from each other, where the separation means rotates the pair of separation members in directions reverse to each other by using the drive of the driving means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
