The present invention relates to a stem cell derived from a basal portion of chorionic trophoblast layer (bCT) which is a particular tissue of a placenta, and to a cell therapy product containing the same. According to the present invention, the stem cell derived from the bCT exhibits uniform growth characteristics and excellent proliferation and differentiation properties in comparison with stem cells derived from conventional entire placenta or other tissues. In addition, the stem cell of the present invention also has superior tissue regeneration effects in an animal model devoid of tissues. Thus, the stem cell of the present invention can be useful as a cell therapy product. |
