The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for estimating a location, and more particularly to a method and apparatus for estimating a location using a fingerprinting method for estimating a location of a specific terminal based on signal strength and a PDR method using an inertia measuring device. In particular, the present invention provides a terminal device, comprising: a location prediction unit which calculates a predicted location based on previous location information and moving information received from an inertia measuring device; a location estimating unit which calculates an estimated location based on a reception strength of a reference signal received from at least one of reference signal transmission devices, radio map information stored reference reception strengths of the reference signal received at a plurality of reference points per a plurality of reference points, respectively; a final location determination unit which calculates a current location of a terminal based on the predicted location and the estimated location; and a conversion matrix calculation unit which calculates subsequent conversion matrix information for estimating a subsequent location of the terminal, and also provides a location calculation method and a recording medium. |
