The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for detecting the wire break of a wire saw to accurately detect the state of wire break in a wire column, and the wire saw with the same. The wire saw includes a wire break detecting line which is arranged in a direction parallel to a main roller in the outside of the main roller and hits a wire broken in the wire column, a fixing body which holds one end of the wire break detecting line, a moving body which is fixed to the outer end of the wire break detecting line, a detection sensor which detects the moving state of the moving body, and an elastic body which elastically supports the moving body to tense the wire break detecting line. The wire break detecting line is made of a material of a lower break tension compared to the break tension of the wire. |
