METHOD FOR DETECTING MOTION VECTOR BASED ON HISTOGRAM

A histogram-based motion detection method comprises the steps of: estimating a motion vector from an image frame; dividing the image frame into macro block units; generating a multi-divisional motion describer for each macro block unit in accordance with the direction and size of each estimated motion vector; generating a frame describer for the image frame on the basis of the multi-dimensional motion describers; and determining abnormal motion in the image through comparison between the frame describer and a reference frame describer in a learning DB.
