PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved agents and methods for treatment of diseases associated with synucleinopathic diseases, including Lewy bodies or alpha-synuclein in the brain of a patient, which are particularly useful for prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of Parkinson's disease.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an antibody that specifically binds to an epitope within residues 91-99 of human alpha-synuclein, or an agent that induces the antibody. The antibody is a monoclonal antibody, an antibody of IgG1 isotype, a chimeric antibody, a human antibody, or a humanized antibody.
