REMOVAL TYPE APPARATUS FOR DRIVING A WHEELCHAIR

A removable apparatus for driving an electric wheelchair comprises: a fixing member mounted in a main frame of an electric wheelchair by a mounting unit; a housing mounted on the fixing member by a coupling member to be rotated in a left, a right, an upward, and a downward direction; wheels which are installed on the housing and come in contact with the ground to provide a drive force; a drive motor installed on the housing to rotate the wheels in a forward and a reverse direction; a first support unit installed on the coupling member to elastically bias the housing towards the ground; and a second support unit installed on the fixing member and the coupling member to guide the housing rotated in a left and a right direction with respect to the coupling member to a middle portion. The removable apparatus for driving an electric wheelchair according to the present invention can easily turn a wheelchair which does not have a drive unit into an electric wheelchair, and be easily mounted on a wheelchair and separated from the wheelchair to provide user convenience.
