PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker that can cut off short-circuit current of a high voltage without increasing the scale of the circuit breaker.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker has a surface formed of an insulator, and contains a movable holder 4 which is freely rotatably supported, a stator 1a having a fixed contact 11a, a movable element 2 which has a movable contact 21a contacting and separating from the fixed contact 11a, and is secured to the movable holder 4 so that only an end portion provided with the movable contact 21a is exposed onto the side surface of the movable holder 4, and an arc-extinguishing device 15 for extinguishing arc occurring between the stator 1a and the movable element 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
