The present invention relates to a lighting device driven by a candle, comprising: a housing for receiving a candle therein; a heat absorption plate for absorbing heat generated from the candle; a radiation plate for radiating the absorbed heat; a thermoelectric element located between the heat absorption plate and the radiation plate, and generating a thermal electromotive force by using the temperature difference between a contact surface of the heat absorption plate and a contact surface of the radiation plate; a lighting unit for emitting light by the generated thermal electromotive force; and a control unit for controlling the operation state of the lighting unit to be in an on or off state. |
