The present invention provides an anti-influenza virus agent that targets biomolecules of host cells including human cells, and a method for screening for candidate molecules of the anti-influenza virus agent. The present invention is an anti-influenza virus agent which inhibits the function and expression of a gene that codes for a protein having inhibitory action against the uptake, to an influenza virus particle, of influenza virus vRNA or NP protein in a host cell, wherein the gene is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of JAK1 genes.
