This electronic device is provided with: a touch operation unit which allows information to be input by a touch operation on a predetermined input region of the touch operation unit; and a control unit which performs control to enable and disable the input function of the touch operation unit. After the control unit has disabled the input function of a first region of the input region of the touch operation unit, if a predetermined touch operation is performed on a specific input-function-enabled region of the input region, then the control unit enables the input function of the first region of the input region for a predetermined period of time, and then disables the input function of the first region after the elapse of the predetermined period of time.
