The present invention relates to an image display apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the image display apparatus comprises: a display; a case enclosing at least a portion of the display; an interface unit to receive an image signal from an image providing device if the image providing device is attached via a docking unit formed on the case; an external device interface unit to receive the image signal provided by the image providing device from a connected communication device if the image providing device is detached; and a processor to process the image signal received through the interface unit to display the image signal on the display if the image providing device is attached, and process the image signal received through the external device interface unit to display the image signal on the display if the image providing device is detached. Accordingly, a seamless image can be displayed even when the image providing device is detached. |
