PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve interference visibility in an application using interference of optical pulses.SOLUTION: An interference system 200 includes an interference device so configured that input optical pulses interfere at an interference component. An input of the interference device is provided by a phase randomized light source. The phase randomized light source includes: slave light sources 201, 202; master light sources 203, 204 configured to intermittently generate master optical pulses so that a phase of each master optical pulse and each phase of subsequently generated master optical pulses have a random relation and to provide the slave light sources 201, 202 with the master optical pulses; and a controller configured to apply a time change driving signal to the slave light sources 201, 202 so that one slave optical pulse is generated during each period in which a master optical pulse is received, and a phase of each slave optical pulse and each phase of subsequently generated slave optical pulses have a random relation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
