The present invention relates to a vessel navigation system and an operation method therefor, the system comprising: a navigation device having a communication module for connecting to an external search server, and a route information calculation module for calculating route information by using course data received from the search server and previously stored map data so as to guide an alternative route for finding a main route when a vessel has left the main route; a black box device linked with the navigation device, and having a voyage information collection module for collecting voyage information of the vessel and a camera module for capturing and compressing external images of the vessel; and a display device linked with the navigation device and the black box device, and displaying the route information calculated by the route information calculation module, the voyage information collected by the route information collection module, and image data compressed by the camera module. Therefore, the route information for the alternative course is calculated by connecting to the external search server when the vessel has left the main route, and the captured and compressed image data is directly displayed through the display device such that process loading of a system can be minimized. |
