Also provided are a droplet discharge device, and a wiping method. A wiping member (200) that comes into contact with a nozzle surface (78) on which nozzles for discharging droplets are formed, a weft (220) and warp (210) being formed in an interwoven manner in the wiping member (200), is moved relative to the nozzle surface (78) along the warp (210). In the wiping member (200), more of the weft (220) than the warp (210) is exposed toward the nozzle surface (78). |
