A video conference calling method and system. The method comprises: a call initiating terminal sends a query request to a server to acquire a called terminal; the server acquires and feeds back a terminal list to the call initiating terminal according to the query request; and the call initiating terminal selects, according to the terminal list, the corresponding called terminal for making a call.
