PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a computer program product for communicating price discount.SOLUTION: A method includes promotion to a customer of awareness of (for example, imminent or urgent) price discount for an item (for example, perishable item). More specifically, the method includes: compiling product and consumer data; and determining which consumer will receive notice of imminent price discount. The compiled data is transmitted to a communication system, and then the communication system transmits the price discount notice via immediate electronic means such as an SMS text message, an image message, an electronic mail, or a micro-blog.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
