A method of transmitting data from a mobile terminal over a wireless network is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: applying a different priority level to different types of data transmission; determining the quantity of data remaining before expiry of the data connection between the mobile terminal and the wireless network; and transmitting the different types of data over the network in an order determined by the applied priority level.
