The present invention relates to a device for preventing clogging and protecting a head for an underwater pump. More specifically, the device for preventing clogging and protecting a head for an underwater pump protects a pump head taking in a sample of underground water, stream water, or seawater through vacuum pressure of an underwater pump and prevents clogging caused by foreign substances. According to the present invention, the pump head is stored to be connected to a filtering net so as to protect the head and prevent the foreign substances from being introduced. More specifically, the pump head and the filtering net are coupled to be separated from each other by a filtering net fastener to use the existing underwater pump, and the filtering nets are configured to have different pipe diameters to be used by attaching the filtering net corresponding to an inner diameter of a pipe well.
