An HUD device (10) according to the present invention has a backlight (13) and a display (14) for displaying a virtual image of a first display image on a first display surface (P1) which is approximately perpendicular to a reference surface (P0), and displaying virtual images of three second display images (P2aA-P2cA) along the reference surface (P0) by irradiating display light (L) corresponding to the first display image (P1A) and the three second display images (P2aA-P2cA). In the HUD device (10), the virtual images of the three second display images are displayed on three second layered display surfaces (P2a-P2c) which are approximately perpendicular to the reference surface (P0) and hierarchically arranged along forward and backward directions. |
