Scfv antibodies which pass epithelial and/or endothelial layers

A pharmaceutical composition formulated for local application to the skin comprising a soluble scFv antibody or a functional antibody fragment capable of crossing an epithelial layer in less than 4 hours wherein said scFv antibody or functional antibody fragment reveals a midpoint of transition in guanidinium hydrochloride 5 titration of at least 1.5M and wherein said scFv antibody or functional antibody fragment is capable of crossing said epithelial layer in the absence of a penetration enhancer.
