PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation generator for suppressing discharge inside an expansion absorption container accompanied with deformation of a volume adjusting container for coping with volume expansion of insulating liquid in a radiation generator whose surplus space is filled with the insulating liquid.SOLUTION: By forming a volume adjusting container 13 having an internal space 14 communicating with the external atmosphere via an opening 12 provided in a housing container 10 of a radiation generator 1 with a conductive material, potential gradient of the internal space 14 is reduced to prevent discharge generation during volume decrease of the internal space 14 accompanied with volume expansion of insulating liquid 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
