PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining a component arrangement for determining an arrangement of component supply means capable of efficiently producing mounting boards for a long-term production plan in a component mounting apparatus for producing plural kinds of mounting boards.SOLUTION: A component arrangement determining method of determining an arrangement of component supply means used to produce plural kinds of mounting boards, in a component mounting apparatus having plural component supply means for supplying components, comprises: a step (ST1) for specifying the frequency of production of each of plural kinds of mounting boards in a predetermined period; a step (ST2) for sorting the plural kinds of mounting boards into producible plural groups on the basis of the production frequency without changing the arrangement of the component supply means; and a step (ST3) for determining the arrangement, in the component mounting apparatus, of the component supply means for supplying components required to produce mounting boards belonging to each of the plural groups.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
