A shock-absorbing member (1), interposed between a first to-be-packed object (5) and a packing box (4) that has a bottom plate (41) and side plates (42a, 42b) provided upright from the peripheral edge of the bottom plate (41). The shock-absorbing member (1) is provided with a placement part (10) on which the first to-be-packed object (5) is placed, and pairs of leg pieces (31, 35) connected to a pair of opposing sides of the placement part (10) across fold lines (32, 36). Lower edges (31b, 35b) of the pairs of leg pieces (31, 35) lock into the boundaries between the bottom plate (41) and the side plate (42a) of the packing box (4) in an orientation in which the leg pieces (31, 35) are folded downwards along the fold lines (32, 36) so as to form an obtuse angle with the placement part (10). |
