The stator core (3) is provided with two insulators (4a, 4b) that are attached to the stator core by sandwiching the stator core from the top and bottom in the axis direction of a rotating shaft of the electric motor. The insulators (4a, 4b) are provided with: base sections configured from surfaces orthogonal to the rotating shaft; substantially cylindrical wall sections (32) extending in the axis direction from the base sections such that the wall surfaces of the slots (23) are covered with the wall sections; and protruding sections protruding in the axis direction at respective parts of end portions of the wall sections (32) in the axis direction.
