1. A method for programmatically sending a media message from a communication platform comprising:
receiving a request to transmit a multimedia messaging service message to a destination endpoint, wherein the request includes a specified media content universal resource identifier (URI); retrieving a web document of the content URI, wherein the web document is requested while sending the set of MMS message context data and wherein the web document includes at least one specified control parameter, and retrieving a set of web content resources referenced in the web document; rendering the web document and the set of web content resources in a simulated browser view; converting the rendered set of web content resources into a media resource, at least in part, according to the control parameter; and transmitting the media resource to a destination in a multimedia messaging service (MMS) message.
