PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for searching for text queries based on social graph information.SOLUTION: There is provided a method including the steps of: receiving an unstructured text query including an n-gram from a client device associated with a first user of an online social network; identifying nodes on the basis of at least the probability which is determined with respect to each node associated with a social graph and in which each node corresponds to the n-gram; identifying edges; generating a structured query; and transmitting the structured query to the client device associated with the first user in reply text query reception.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
