JOINTED GASKET

The present disclosure is directed to continuous gaskets, and particularly to continuous gaskets having at least one joint. Embodiments include continuously jointed gaskets exhibiting exceptional sealing performance against dust and water comparable to seamless molded gaskets. Other embodiments of the disclosure are directed to continuous gaskets having at least one bend groove adapted to form a desired bending angle. The bend groove can have a particular profile that enhances the bent characteristics.

a. a gasket material comprising:
i. a foam layer;ii. an adhesive sheet disposed adjacent to the foam layer;iii. a release layer disposed adjacent to the adhesive sheet such that the adhesive sheet is sandwiched between the foam layer and the release sheet; and b. a bend groove disposed through the gasket material.
