The present invention provides a refrigeration cycle apparatus. The refrigeration cycle apparatus comprises: a compressor which compresses a working fluid; a first external heat exchanger which exchanges heat between the working fluid compressed in the compressor and outside air and discharges heat to the outside; an expansion device which expands the working fluid heat-exchanged in the external heat exchanger; a second external heat exchanger which exchanges heat between an intermediate medium with the outside air to discharge heat to the outside; an internal heat exchanger in which the working fluid expanded in the expansion device and the intermediate medium heat-exchanged in the second external heat exchanger receive heat and evaporate; a control valve part which is installed in an inlet pipe into which the intermediate medium flows to the internal heat exchanger and controls the flow of the intermediate medium such that the intermediate medium selectively flows into the internal heat exchanger and the second external heat exchanger; an outside air temperature detection sensor which detects the temperature of the outside air; and a controller part which controls to perform at least one of a first cooling process by the compressor, the first external heat exchanger, the expansion device and internal heat exchanger and a second cooling process by the second external heat exchanger by operating the control valve part according to the temperature of the outside air detected by the outside air temperature detection sensor. |
