The present invention provides a method and system for charging electric vehicle, wherein the system comprises: an electric energy receiver arranged in the electric vehicle; an electric energy transmitter arranged on a highway; and a switch connected with the electric energy transmitter. When the electric vehicle is on the highway with the electric energy transmitter, the switch of the electric energy transmitter is turned on to enable the electric energy transmitter to transmit electric energy to the electric energy receiver so as to charge the electric vehicle. The system for charging electric vehicle can effectively prolong the driving time of the electric vehicle and supplement the electric energy of the electric vehicle in a timely manner. |
