[Problem] To make it possible for a terminal device to more easily maintain synchronization for cellular system communication in a frequency band that is shared between the cellular system and a wireless LAN. [Solution] A device is provided with a communication processing unit that carries out cellular system communication during a first period in a frequency band shared between the cellular system and a wireless LAN and that stops cellular system communication in the frequency band during a second period. The first period is one or more subframes that include a subframe in which a synchronization signal for the cellular system is transmitted. The second period is one or more subframes that do not include a subframe in which the synchronization signal is transmitted. |
