Provided is a coding and modulation method which supports a robust channel (RC), the method comprising: at a PMD and PMS-TC interface, using bit data borne by a DMT symbol to form a data frame; at the PMD and PMS-TC interface, determining first portion bit data including RC bit data within the data frame to be non-coding bit data, and performing coding on second portion bit data within the data frame to obtain coded bit data; in the PMD, mapping the non-coding bit data and the coded bit data to a plurality of sub-carriers corresponding to the data frame and performing modulation to obtain modulated sub-carriers, the RC bit data being mapped to at least one RC sub-carrier. Also provided is a coding and modulation device which supports an RC. The present invention not only increases the coding and decoding rate of the data frame, but also ensures the security of information transmission. |
