The present invention relates to a method for providing a virtual object. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the method for providing a virtual object comprises: an operation where an electronic device checks a plurality of conditions; an operation where the electronic device searches for a virtual object among one or more virtual objects which satisfies the conditions; and an operation where the electronic device provides a virtual object satisfying at least one condition among the conditions if no virtual object satisfies the conditions as a result of searching. Also, embodiments different from the disclosed embodiments can be realized.
