PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement swash plate compressor for allowing a required energizing member to be provided in a swash plate chamber while meeting extremely strict requirements for reducing the size.SOLUTION: A variable displacement swash plate compressor includes a housing 1, a driving shaft 3, a link mechanism 7, an actuator 13, and the like. The link mechanism 7 consists of a first pin 51 connected to the driving shaft 3 or a first small-diameter part 31a, a second pin 52 connected to a swash plate 5, and a lug arm 70 turnably connected to the first pin 51 and the second pin 52. The actuator 13 has a division body 63, a movable body 64, and a control pressure chamber 65. The movable body 64 having a third pin 53 connected to the swash plate 5 is provided for exerting traction on the swash plate 5 to make an inclination angle larger as a pressure in the control pressure chamber 65 is higher.
