Provided is a refrigeration cycle device that uses a refrigerant having a greater density than air under atmospheric pressure, and with which it is possible to prevent the formation of a region where the refrigerant density is greater than a fixed value outside of a casing, even when the refrigerant leaks inside the casing while the casing is in a non-energized state. This refrigeration cycle device is equipped with: a casing in which a first opening and a second opening, one of which is a suction opening and the other a discharge opening, are formed, with an air duct in the interior of the casing formed so as to connect the first opening and the second opening; and a refrigerant circuit provided in the air duct in the interior of the casing, and filled with a refrigerant that has a greater density than air under atmospheric pressure. A third opening is formed in the casing to connect the air duct and the exterior of the casing. The third opening is arranged under the refrigerant circuit, and the lower edge of the third opening is arranged so as to be located under the lower edge of the first opening or the second opening. In addition, a dispersion means is provided for dispersing the refrigerant that leaks from the refrigerant circuit and flows from the air duct to the exterior of the casing through the third opening. |
